Car Details:I own a 1979 350ci Camaro Berlinetta that is nearing completion of a full resto.
Hello

I'm having trouble with the cruise control on my 79 Berlinetta. When I push the switch on the stalk it switches on only about 50% of the time. If or when it does switch on, the speed holds constant for a while then tends to drift upwards. I've checked the switch on the stalk with an electrical multimeter and it switches with no problem at all. I've also fitted a new cable from the transmission to the cruise control unit and greased the cable from the cruise control to the speedo. It's still got the original cruise control unit.

Any thoughts?
