After 2 years of owning my first (and only) V8, it's time to sell (wedding to pay for next year
). I've loved every minute of owning it, and has certainly shown me how much pleasure, positivity and respect comes with owning a classic Camaro. I don't think I've ever driven it without having a thumbs-up...
such a contrast to the reaction I see when passenger in my mate's Porsche 911
It was first registered in the UK in 1989 and since then has done 96,668 miles (as of 17Oct2019, and am not intending to drive prior to sale). The reason I've said 1986/1987, is that the HPI check and several of the service records note it as a 1986, however the 10th digit of the VIN is H, which equates to a production year of 1987 according to every VIN decoder I've found on the internet.
It has MOT until November 2020, and comes with all MOT certificates going back to 2002, extensive receipts/service history back to 2003.
Exterior is in good condition (but by no means concourse ready), and engine is running very sweetly, starting first time every time since I've owned it). It's always stored in my brother's garage (as shown in pic) when not in use (I only have room on my driveway for my boring daily). It's had a custom exhaust fitted, which makes the V8 sound even more intoxicating, without being obnoxious . I bought the car off one of the mechanics in the American Auto Specialist K T Automotive (Pyle, Bridgend), and they have looked after it for me for the last 2 years. The only real thing I've needed to change was to refresh the interior, so it's had the headlining, door cards and front and rear seats, re-upholstered with leather-effect vinyl with IROC-Z embroidered in the headrests... it really has transformed the inside of the car. Only gripe is that while he tape deck still works, I can't seem to be able to tune the radio.
I replaced the original steering wheel with an aftermarket suede steering wheel due to the original one being a bit tatty (plus I found it way too slim to drive?!), but the original is included in sale and can be refurbished for not very much £££.
Hopefully the attached photo does it some justice, but it really needs to be seen to be appreciated.
Note: Selection of 80's cassettes (including Guns 'n' Roses' Appetite for Destruction) included in sale
