Speaking to the owner of my local garage, he mentioned that I might as well totally remove the A/C unit as compressor missing and not sure on the condition of the main unit; would replace with an A/C delete cover.

Would this devalue my Z28? Should I replace the compressor? Should I leave as is for the next owner ( whenever that is) to make that decision?

How original is your car? The more original it is, the more you should try and keep it that way.

You could remove it and keep it, so if you/future owner wants to go back to original you can.

Pretty original so you’re right, i’ll see how much it is to remove and keep the unit for someone else work on. I could change a lot but want to keep it as original as possible, also found out the it’s matching numbers engine although not checked on the gearbox.

Thanks Jamie
