It's that time of year again, it's got to go, only one in the country blah blah blah, 6 speed manual, fully loaded, white leathers, difficult to price as it's the only one over here but you couldn't Import one for under 15k, heaps of paperwork, very fast, only ever going to appreciate in value as there were only 1000 30th anniversary Ss made and out of those only around 40 were manual hard tops, fully loaded, I'll take offers around the 10k mark and may take something cheap and automatic in px, loads of bills, new clutch and brakes and my Insurance renewal just cost me.a whole £200! Has a jetchip, 13" corvette brakes and an slp lightened flywheel added, shows, track days, cruising or even the daily commute so a good all round and only for sale due to ill health, it's 20 years old and has been driven so don't expect a trailer Queen show car, only 70,000 guaranteed and provable miles, cash is king, car is in Rickmansworth, no test pilots

Sorry to hear that you're selling. Sounds like a very rare one and the new owner will be getting a great car. Hope your health is ok, not wanting to pry if it's too personal but hope you're ok?

I'm.ok thanks, got three collapsed discs, two slipped discs, a spine full of arthritis that is missing a few curves so it's like having a permanent whiplash injury as well as the lower back pain and continual muscle spasms all of which they refuse to operate on so I'm left swimming in a sea of opiates most of the time.
As you can imagine driving a manual sports car with a 5 sec 0-60 isn't the best thing for me to be doing! I haven't driven it more than 1/2 doz times in the last year and the Mrs has been using it as her daily to get to work and back. I dearly want to keep hold of it and the prices over the pond for these are getting silly now but I have to be realistic and as much fun as it is its just not suitable for someone in my state. looked into fitting some sort of hand clutch but the only viable one is around £8000 and I can't bear to butcher such a rare car by converting it to an auto.
I've had her for 3 years so had some fun but there isn't any point in laying her up as my condition isn't going to improve. I need a comfy auto car like my crv

That sounds terribly painful  How do you get through the day?! I had a severely spasm'd muscle last year and it took a couple of months to walk properly again and it was agony. But that's just part of what you're going through, i can't imagine how painful all of that is. It makes sense then to for something comfortable and higher up. An older family member has a RAV4 (i think) and i've been passenger in it a couple of times, i can see why they like it as it's so easy to get in and out of, it's almost like you walk straight in vs. grabbing onto pillars and shuffling about (they went from a Jag S type, a relatively low slung seating position). Have you looked at any American SUV's to keep the American spirit and V8 part going :)

most days its just a juggling act with painkillers to get by, haven't been able to work for the last ten years or so which gets unbelievably boring.I have a honda CRV which is pretty good and before that had mitsubishi shoguns which are akin to driving round in your arm chair. I did llook at pickups and stuff but the prices are all governed by how many episodes of gas monkey the seller has watched :-).
I think its a combo of the seating position and clutch that cause the issues as well as the car being one that makes you drive it as if you've stolen it most of the time, it has all the SLP suspension components and handles exceptionally well for a yank, SLP really did an excellent job when they made these
