Hello and welcome to the club!

I had to do a quick Google search to find out what 'Joyrider' was and wow that's a very nice looking car! The 69 has always been my favourite body shape.

I don't have any allegiance to any particular make, my previous classic was a 1968 Mustang :)

I would hazard a guess yours was a we bit faster than mine!

Mine had a 1970 Cleveland 351 in it with Edelbrock performance intake and 750cfm carb (yes a bit too big), mated to a 4 speed toploader and Ford 9" rear running a 4.10:1 ratio - never took it down the strip though!

I should imagine it was quite lively though! Mine was a 466ci BBF portosonic intake, 1050 dominator, super cobra jet heads, hooker super comp headers, 3" flow masters, 150 shot of gas, Fairbanks c6, narrowed 9", 4:11 gears, 16.5" rear rubber, was good fun on the street!

Yes it was certainly lively!

I have to say I have used my 2nd gen Camaro more in the short time I have had it and had more fun - and it is a much better car to drive :)

I liked the mustang, but I also had more fun in my '77 400ci firebird I had, for a big lump it handled quite well!!!

It's easy to make a car unpleasant on the street with too much of a track bias...
