We have put together a calendar of events with the aim of being a comprehensive list of events this year.

We have done this as don't buy any UK magazines (Classic American etc) and often have no idea what's on.

Submissions are welcome and hope you find it useful

Car Details:1969 SS, originally a 396, now a 350. Never having raced an American V8 before, I am not the world's expert on Camaros ! But I read Road & Track and HotRod Magazine from the early Sixties (yes, it's the only thing I can rememberabout the 60s) and always wanted one.

Also race a 1965 Alfa GTA, and drive a 1938 Lancia Aprilia and a 1922 Talbot 8.
As I am new to the American car scene, what one event would Forum posters recommend as the most interesting show to attend this year ?

Hi Nick,

I personally don't tend to go to the static traditional shows like Billing, Americana etc... just find them a bit dull (only my opinion), I prefer to do charity driving events, track days etc, or little road runs in London or down to the coast etc...

The only event I went to last year were, go to ones were Speedfest at Brands Hatch (which was excellent and highly recommended)... Full on yank car meet, nascar racing, classic V8 racing + free entry !!!! win win win !!!!
plus a few of the Goat meets in Hertford.
I do quite a few of the Ace Cafe meets as it's on my doorstep.

A few are going to Essex swap meet this weekend I think...

Thanks, guys, for the recommendations. I live in London, so Old Warden sounds interesting.
