Hi all, I want to remove all the A/C components from the engine bay and only have a vague idea on how to do so. If anyone has done this before it would be a great help to get some pointers (what should I consider with electricals, what should I do about radiator pipes to the heater/firewall etc) I've just orderd the A/C bypass bracket and still need the system drained.
I have a 91 5.0 TBI

Any help would be greatly aprieciated as I've never done this before and don't know anybody who has.

Cheers,
Nick

You want one of these, http://www.acdelete.com/pages/82-92_F-body.htm

I just took out everything, the system had drained itself, and most the wiring just stays the same,
the heater pipes you don´t need to touch nor drain the system.
I did try cutting the old ac box down but they are very fragile and it´s looked like shit.
It´s a good thing to look under the ac box as it´s a place water accumulates and eats through the firewall.
Before.

A touch of filler and paint.

Hey nice engine bay btw!
But that sort of work looks well out my league and I want to do this myself to keep the cost down.
I was just after doing what this guy did on ebay.

Dead easy then, get the system drained and take off the compressor and pipes.
The wiring harness to the compressor can be taped away.

It´s not hard at all to do and you´ll be glad you did it.

Any problems just yell.
