You might say the bug's bitten.
I'm looking at two more third gens on Monday, an IROC and a 'vert.

Got some jobs to square away on the RS, and then she'll be up for sale if anyone knows anyone who's looking.

All in all, not too bad. There will be some paint required to the rear quarters near the fuel cap (dodgy rattlecan spray job), and a little rust repair to the passenger side wing (low down, corner of the wheel arch in the front). Drivebelt desperately needs replacing, but he does have the replacement to hand. Retrimmed interior. Nice sound t-top. Looking underneath her, someone's given her new trailing arms and anti-roll bar at some point.
Pics will follow, don't worry!

Pics will be following shortly - some work needed sadly.
I'm looking at importing a couple of new front wings for her. There's a spot of rust on the passenger side, and I suspect getting a body shop to put in new metal would be more expensive than bringing in new panels, painting and fitting.
Washing n waxing her this evening, I noticed that there's two sets of IROC decals on the passenger door, but one appears to have been painted over. Most odd. I can't fathom why whoever did it didn't just remove them and fix the new ones on.
Some paint work is needed, there's a patch around the petrol cap that looks like it's suffered a rattle can paint job at some point.
Slight noise from the front passenger side wheel on full lock, and there was some noise from (I think) the half shaft on the passenger side at the rear.
Some slight bubbly paint around the windscreen as well suggests I'll have to get the windscreen out and get some rust repair done as well.
Oh, to have the money to just say 'Fix all of it' to someone!

In other news, the brake components for the RS have turned up, and that'll be sorted before she's put up for sale. After all, as nice as it is being a two camaro household, I have an IROC to feed now...

Yes, if only we could pay that magic someone to fix the whole thing in a day, would be amazing :) think of the tv show Overhaul, but extreme
Send us a pic of the rust, in my experience you may be better off dealing with it, even if it has rotted through. If you look at one Nige's posts, i think in the projects sub, you'll see the probs you get if you get repro stuff.. you'll end up do probably more work to it!!
I've noticed a lot of cars are a bit funny on full lock, especially when going really slow, like manouvering into a parking space. Is the sound very strange?
Cheers!!

p.s we like before and after pics, so no excuses, get snapping :)
