Lost me with that one

Wouldnt mind seeing a pic of the crack if you have one or could take one of it
Just trying to understand how and where and why it cracked
I think RickK54 is on about the heat making the dash dry out and become brittle then cracking
Just like the mid 80s uk ford orion had a very soft dash to start with but after 3-4years they cracked everywhere

With all the testing that goes on with car parts this should´nt happen.
I bought a 1986 Opel Monza brand new in Germany, in three years the
dash looked like a jigsaw puzzle.
The dealer told me to get lost, not their or Opel´s problem.
My third gen Camaro´s dash is cracking up too, but only since it came to Spain.
The car was built in California....don´t they get hot weather there.....?

Same with seat wear, when I was at Vauxhall they had machines pummeling
seat cushions, 24-7 for weeks on end, yet our arses seem to do a better pummeling job
than any machine.

Oh yeah the old mk3 Escort/Orion dash ! My Xr3i had more cracks than my mother in laws face!!!!!
