Well apologies for not making an appearance at Speedfest but I had a little Car Trouble on the way down.
The Firebird was running well till Cobbham services, but after a quick break there it all started to go wrong the car started to stumble and I had to cut back my speed as it seemed to be flooding more at higher revs. I think I saw Oddball's black car pass me between the services and A20.
I got to the slip road off the25 onto the 20 where it died at the lights and refused to restart.
Ended up making the trip back on a transporter
Luckily the transporter was on the scene quick and the police arrived just as I was being loaded, not really what I wanted on the day of the biggest meet in the UK.
Hope you all had a good day. The weather was perfect.
Oh no that is not good news! I hope it all gets repaired soon :(

I did pass a 68 Firebird around there but didn't realise it was you! I was telling my missus how much i liked the 67/68 Firebird :)

Car Details:68 pontiac firebird coupe project car,my aim is a street friendly, lightly modified pro.touring style.
Lowered ,mild body mods,400 cu in SBC engine, Muncie 4speed, 10 bolt posi axle, disc front drum rear.
68 firebird convertible ( long term project) Stock resto/mod style ,400 pontiac th350
I thought I spotted your car by the roof, but my car was running badly at that point which was why I was limping along just trying to stop it cutting out...
It was probably best that it cut out and died at the roundabout on the A20 because if I got into a big bunch of cars going in and it died there the recovery would have been a lot more hassle.
When I got Home I swapped over to a spare carb and got it running but on the fuel tube between the float bowls there is a slight leak now, so hopefully just 2 o-rings on the tube and I'm back on the road.

You mean even from that distance you were bowled over by the magnificence that is my new roof? :D

To be fair i didn't think you were going that slow! When I passed you I was doing about 70~75 ish and we only cruised past.

At least it doesn't sound too big of a a job, but a real shame you missed the event
