Bumper is trial fitted on not fully bolted up or aligned. really pleased with the colour match by the time I have given the car a full machine polish should look good.

I know this car! As soon as you said RS 5-speed conversion I knew which car it would be.

It was sold by Rocky of American Technique back in April/May 2015. I've seen it appear on Ebay at least once since, so I guess you must be the third owner since then. I tried to buy it from Rocky but was a bit too slow and someone beat me to it.

Looked in fantastic nick when I saw it - really clean car. Really nice to see you've done a good job of tidying the nose as it was the only thing the car needed visually. Glad it's in good hands - I hope you enjoy it!

Glad I am not the only one who thought it was in good nick. The bodyshell is fantasic rust wise, paint is not to bad been painted at some point during its life. And has had left wing and bumper replaced so must of had a crack on its nose. Its one of those cars thats nearly there but needs the last 10%-15% sorting out its those jobs if you have the skill cost very little but if you dont it will become an expensive car. Overall I am very pleased with it and think I got it for a bargain at £2200

Well its MOT time today. Then i need to sort out front alignment when i got the car it had the ball joint drag link idle etc.. changed and for reasons best known to some one else the left wheel was on max neg camber ive set this to match the right and it was toe in by a mile. I know these wheel hop on full lock low speeds but this seems to do it more to right and not really to the left and on the road it feels quite floaty. Any ideas on the correct settings castor camber etc.... also it has stupid 9inch wide rims with 255/50/16 TYRES which wont be helping

well had a bit about with the front alignment and have improved things. when the car was driving in a straight line the steering wheel was at about quarter turn which in turn had the pitman arm not in line with the car so that would give some interesting angles on the steering as the suspension goes up and down. so set that up and played with the caster and camber and know you can drive the car without white knuckles

Well Ive been using the car for a couple of short trips and all in all not to bad, however something is not quite right with the front alignment

when I got the car the tracking was toeing out a million miles and different cambers. Ive now centered the pitman arm and draglink tracking set so slightly toeing in, camber is -1 on both sides and caster is pretty much maxed out and equal both sides. car does not drive to bad now seems fine at all speeds pretty sure footed.
However the car does drift slightly to the left (liveable very slight) does white line a bit but this could be down to the tyres.
The biggest problem is lock to lock, full left lock the car is fine. however right lock is a different matter its fine on 2/3 lock but once you hit full lock the left wheel gains to much lock and tries to tuck under and scrubs the hell out of the outa edge and the steering will not self wind off,

In my limited experience it feels like the toots (toe out on turn) feels fine on left lock but on right lock there isnt any toots and both wheels are turning the same amount, I know bent steering arms can play havoc with toots.

idle arm, draglink, TCAs are only a few miles old no play on ball joints etc... so I guess its going to be a case of checking all bushes are good in the A arms and start measuring components from both sides to see if there are any differences side to side. Unless someone has a magic answer. I know the car in the past has had a impact on the left corner as the wing and bumper are not orig. inner wings strut tops etc... look square and measure the same left to right so sure its a bolt on item that is bent
