What i do, is place the hydraulic jack under the actual doughnut. You see on the left side there are 2 small drain holes and on the right there is 1 drain hole, centre the jack under the single drain hole on the right. This way the jack is almost following the natural load bearing design of the a arm. Hope that helps!
p.s. seeing the oil filter reminded me, you can do an easy oil changed by removing the drivers side wheel, having the hydraulic jack under the a arm and then you can lower the jack all the way down so that the rotor is almost on the ground. Because the drain plug is on the drivers side, it means that a lot more fluid is evacuated when compared to the car sitting flat. Plus it's then really easy to access the oil filter (with the jack set to normal ride height and axle stand under the chasis rail for safety).
