Yeah, that 1st Gen is at Damn Yankees Summer Slam, North Weald, every year.
Just tried to upload pic, but my photos are more than twice the allowed size.

I'm meeting someone at the Stevenage bash, but if I get bored (or the field is too muddy), I might mosey along to Croxley, if any of you are really going to be there (and to check out how muddy their field is).

Paul, never realised you lived that far away from The Green, thought it was walking distance

Well, just got back from the A602s bash, and very good it was too. The ground was completely dry.
Seems that I was not the only one torn between that and Croxley Green, everyone was bitching about them both being on the same day this year. Wouldn't it be great if the two organising committees could talk to each other. Dream on.
Some of the guys there were talking about moving on to Croxley later.
Whether they did or not, I don't know, I wasn't around when they left.
I had seriously considered it myself, but after I had wandered around one field of cars for a few hours, my tootsies really didn't fancy doing it all over again somewhere else.

Anyhow, I had a long chat with the gent who owns the previously mentioned 1st gen drag car, he's owned it forever.
It currently runs low 9's, but with a few tweeks, he reckons he can get it into the 8's. Pretty quick methinks.
It's road legal (kinda)!!! But he gets pulled for visibility issues with the blower scoop.

So who went to Croxley Green, and how was it?

I actually managed to pop into Croxley Green after lunch, but had girlfriend and son, mother, her parents, her sister and niece in tow, and didn't get there till 4 ish, so probably missed quite a lot.
Loadsa nice cars, interesting mix of classics old and new, a few customs, and spotted one Camaro.... a black 1st gen that had left but he time I got near.
