Thanks '78'
Hey everybody, the vendor has texted me, the space-saver and jack have been found!
It must be well hidden, he's had the car for seven years and didn't know it was there.
Back to the insurance survey.

Lol! He must know my wife by the sounds of things :P
I did the insurance shopping thing at the start of the year and most of them would only offer a decent rate after I had been driving a left hooker for at least a year, I went with Adrian Flux in the end and paid £210 fully comp but with a mileage limitation

Hi mate, welcome to the forum, I don't post much but have got some very useful help on a few questions from guys on here which I am thankful for, I think you'll enjoy it.

Congrats on the car, too, I've had a 1998 Z28 for ten years, thought I'd post a few pics of the wheels its had over the years, might give you some ideas.

Originally had these 16s, good standard wheel but prone to pitting around the valve hole and bolt holes. Tough to get tyres for too.

I then had a brief foray into BMW wheels, 18" M Sport Parallels. I'd reccomend the hubcentric adaptors for them as before I got them they caused some judder through the steering (I think BMW PCD is about 1/10" larger)

I then had some 17" Corvette wheels (think they were ZR1 style, also on some earlier 4th gens):

I painted the centres and put some chevy logos on them soon after, looked a bit better but no pic.

And now, probably her final set, 17" American Racing Torque Thrust 3s in graphite:

I've done loads more to mine, suspension, stereo, few bolt ons so if you want some (limited) advice, just ask chap.

Enjoy the camaro, they are addictive!

Those torque thrusts look tasty on a 4th gen, the ZR1 wheels are the ones fitted as standard to the 1997 SS only they were in white, I woul also suggest to the OP to bear in mind disc brake conversions when buying wheels , mine has 13" vette discs and needs 17" wheels to fit over them :-)

Cheers mate, i think these are a keeper.

Your brake conversion, is it a corvette one? How big a job is it to do and is it worth the cash? Id imagine the front would look great with 13" rotors stuffed behind an open wheel :)
