Hi All,

Just signed up to the Forum today. I've got a 79' Camaro which some of you may have seen me campaigning in the national Sportsman ET championships this year if you've visited Santa Pod.
I picked the Camaro up a year or so ago to use as our weekend fun car. I also have a 80' Trans am which I stripped out and have used for drag racing over the last few years, but following an engine demise at the end of last season the Camaro has done the duties this year whilst I get the Trans Am sorted. Although I must admit, I've been enjoying using the Camaro on the track and the road so much that the TA seems to have fallen by the wayside a bit....
We also have a 93' GMC dayvan for towing duties and general getting to shows, etc so have a few Yanks littering up the place :D
Look forward to being on here,
Cheers,

Andy

The Camaro sounds fun, as does the Trans Am... Got any pics from your strip experiences ?

Welcome to another 79er! They are getting popular around here :)

What's the plans? You just driving it day in day out or planning on doing anything to it?

Cheers,

Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

Just driving and racing it at the moment but will eventually do a full job on it. We've had it up on the ramps at my mates MOT station and had a good poke around and it's in great shape so it's an ideal candidate to go to town on.
I don't want to go too crazy with it, I'm thinking along the lines of sorting any minor bodywork issues out, respray, new interior, drop in a nicely dressed mild-ish stroked 350 and decent drivetrain and a set of torque-thrusts, something like that anyway.

Cheers,

Andy
