Wow ! Great pix and fantastic work ,this thread is turning into a master class on how it should be done.
At this point I have to hold my hands up and plead guilty to rushing it in the past ,I can't seem to control the urge to get it on the road and take short cuts.
As mentioned earlier the things that hurt us here with our cars is not the US price or even the shipping but the taxes and special handling fees which really bump the cost up ! I would certainly be adding a lot more bits to my parts list if I could buy them at the US price.
I will be starting my '68 'bird project soon after gathering the parts and building a garage to work on the car and house it once it is completed. Will be using your project as a reference, and a standard to aim for and most important for me a reminder to slow down and do it right

Yeah, shipping and handling is a killer.
Was looking at new sheet metal wings for my 3rd gen - a $60 part, but with a $477 shipping charge before it hits our shores.
That's a pricey wing!
But yeah... enjoying the pics! Keep us updated!

I'm eventually going to upgrade to Wilwood brakes on all-4 corners. For now, the stock stuff is cheap and will get it back on the road a bit sooner. Brakes are fairly easy to change anyway.

I appreciate the comment's / compliments. I probably won't post anything else for a few days...busy weekend coming up and I'm usually innundated with work.

Here's a few more...not all of them are of my car, but I couldn't resist. The race car is a NASCAR super late model. The Mustang is pro-street, with over 850 HP on tap--plus nitrous...

It is coming along VERY nicely. just a little jealous lol. Looks extremely pro, you must be over the moon with it! I have a question about the front steel 5mph bumper you have on there, the long wide one which attaches to the front clip... any reason you are keeping it on there? this is the first resto i've seen that has it on, as most guys take them off to save weight. just wondered is all

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

Hey guys, Sorry for the belated response. I've been on vacation ( I think you guys call it "holiday") since July 15th...just got back. As far as the bumper is concerned, it most likely will not be on the car when it's complete. I did drill twenty four 3" holes in it and took slightly more than 7 pounds of weight out of it. I'm going to fabricate a tubular support for the front clip...I just hope I don't hit anything once that's done. I'm building this thing in stages, one of which will be to replace everything forward of the core support with as little metal as possible. The problem is that I seem to have less time lately. Since getting back to work, I'm doing about 80-hours a week, so my car is nothing more than a dust magnet right now. Thanks for the interest.

Hi Dana the car is coming on great ,the good side of working a lot of hours is youll have more money to spend ? .I have been trying to get my 89 set up to run right but im from the north east (the colder part of the UK ) and speaking to tuners up here you would think i had two heads, asking them to tune a Camaro and with Injection !!!! SO my question is their any one you know of that stock OB1 cable for diagnostics for use with a laptop ,i have found a guy who can tune my Camaro but dosent have the OBD1 cable he only has one for newer Camaros hope you can help Cheers Neil
