Why don't you come over to the Isle of Man and compete in the Manx Classic- we would love to see more V8s?
We close off partsof the TT course for sprint racing

You don't need any race preparation

Just a helmet, race suit, and a licence.
Road legal cars are able to run
Preference given to pre 1971 cars

details are at:

Hi Tim, I might well take up that offer, funds allowing. As you know the car's set up to run at sprints etc so it'd be good to give it a go as the roads look really good to run on. I also intend to get it to a few sprints over here, just need the snow to go away so's I can get it out of the garage, cheers....Nige

How is Billing these days? Last I went I had a ehem a bit of a run in with a few drunken members of the travelling fraternity messing about with tent. It was almost like a scene from Deliverance!!!! I could hear banjos playing, although that might have been the evening entertainment coming from the beer tent. Anyways I had to do one or risk getting the crap kicked out of me.

Billing to me is a sad shadow of its former self. Attendance is down, beer tent is tiny and there are a lot of idiots on site. I will not go there again other than for the Sunday.

For me this year there is only one- Mopar Euronats, end of July at Santa Pod. Hope to see some of you there~!

I'm not gonna do any static Yank or custom/hot rod shows this summer. Got a couple of charity days booked where I'll be taking people for rides in the car round the track, in exchange for a fee that goes to charitable cause.

July 10th with the Under 17's driving Club, for their Magic Day, at Castle Combe Circuit - money goes to Teenage Cancer Trust.

August 13th with Asda, for their Staff fun day at Bruntingthorpe - money goes to Sparks & Wishes for Kids.

I'll probably book some last minute track days as many times as I can squeeze in. Camaro Club members welcome to come along and hang out at any too..

I was looking at the ace-cafe site this morning and the have an event listed as Chevrolet Centenary Celebration on the 27th of this month. I have never been to the Ace Cafe so am not sure what it would be like.

Hi

I've been there to biker meets, back then and more recently. Good atmosphere when there's a crowd there.

I'm hoping to do the 27th as it the Centenary event as well as a Corvette meet.

Should be good.

May see you there.

Shame this is not in the UK, would be great to attend!

Looks like a fun day with lots of events... the LS engine swap and drive away challenge especially.. currently 31 mins 57 seconds is fastest time.

Can imagine the different sorts of metal there with the LS variation blocks in. Wonder how popular something like that event would be here in the UK?
