I went to the Mopar Nats on Sunday, it wasn't as busy as I thought it'd be, but still had a great day out all the same. Had I known it would be as quiet as it was on the Sunday I'd have seriously thought about taking my '69 there to put some numbers to it

here's some pics.

A 426 Hemi powered "Winged Warrior". Dunno if there was anything wrong with the car, but I only saw it manage a mid 13 second 1/4.

Nice photos :)

I would suggest that it was quiet because there were 3 events on this week (several people complaining I gather). The Mopar Nats, Hotrod Hayride and NSRA Supernats...

The supernats were packed...

Cheers for the pics, we had a great time- even if the band were cut off way too early on Sat night:(

I can't believe there were 3 events on teh same weekend. There are fewer and fewer of us about and the last thing we need is overlaps.

Not sure where to go next year as I thought the camping aspect at the Pod was pretty weak- again the band played for an hour at most. Shocking.

What was the deal with the band? The announcer started to explain it just as somebody started doing a burnout so i didn't hear anymore!
My mate's youngest has fallen in love with Drag Racing now and is pestering to get to another meet already! He took his camera with him but "didn't get many photos". Just the odd 370... I'll stick some on here when i get them ;)

Wasn't me doing the burnout was it? :)

Think they were getting noise complaints. That will seriously hinder there being a proper party there any year. The huint for the perfect weekend in Summer at a show goes on. Need more focus on the nightlife than the day for me :)

I was there on Sunday as well. That Petty blue 'bird was getting some serious stick all day and also won the burnout competion. Another car that was shown no mercy was the Starsky and Hutch Torino, dragged up the strip and then back into the line up ready to go again, all day long. It was nice seeing owners not being precious about their cars.
