Sounds good Shaun, any details / a link to Americana?

Would be great to get a little area just for our club :)

From when I had my last yank (which was only two years ago) it seems there is a bit of apathy set in to the car scene. I'm all for making the Camaro Club as good as the Mopar one. That's why I've posted re members in Birmingham area. I want to get some meets going and a bit of comradery !!
That's a tough challenge to make a one model [ 5 generation ] club compete with a club that has all Marques and models within a single club.
Maybe thinking along the lines of the Mustang and Corvette clubs which are more similar to us could be a start .
Would be nice to get the profile of the club up by going to events and approaching owners ,maybe start local meets attached to existing venues, race meets etc.

Yes admittedly as we only the Camaro club but, we can strive to make it as good as other clubs. So even even if we can get a good group together for one meet that would be a start. :D

There's loads of Camaros around, just need to let the owners this forum exists. Carding cars and approaching people at meets/shows is a very good start..

Hi

Given that we appear to be spread around the country perhaps we can propose regional meets. South of me is only the English Channel so meets up North can be a bit of a challenge. Certainly for meet and greets. Happy to hear about meets around or South of London for a day out. Going to Brooklands (on an organised basis) is a possibility. I know the Mustang Owners have a meet there in August as an example.

Any thoughts?

If you look at the regional areas on the forum. Especially for the Midlands it's a poor showing.

Ace Cafe end of August sounds good to me :)

I'll have a look into what current events they have planned.

I'll also tinker with some business card designs tomorrow and post them up, see what people think.

bye bye apathy :P
