I have recently started posting again on the Pontiac Owners Club since they refreshed their forum, and some of them fancy a trip over to the IoM for a weekend.

If we get enough cars we can get a group discount on the ferry.

I wondered if there would be interest from the Camaro guys to hook up with the Pontiac guys, mostly Firebirds/Transam (we're all siblings after all!) and have a hoon around the TT racing course and a big BBQ at one of our local guys lighthouse?

If we're quick we can do it this year, or maybe for next year? Any takers? (There's no upper speed limit on some of our roads). I run the local Yank car club http://www.manxyanks.com who would also love to meet up.

If we get enough takers we could arrange a track day at the Jurby airfield track.

Love to get there one day, and ideally during the summer... Not sure if I'm that free though... :(

suggest a number of dates that suit you, list these and get people to state their availability for which dates, and the ones with most is set.. That's how we normally do it for runs I do..

Dear All
I think it would be best if I outlined some Camaro Friendly activities on the Isle of Man for that Road Trip so here goes:

17 July Duke Track day at Jurby 10.00 -15.00
28 July Roger Daltrey and the Who concert will play musical Tommy the whole way through for first time
Early August Steve arranges our Manx Yanks BBQ at the lighthouse (I am away 7-21 August) date tbc
20 August-2 Sept Manx Grand Prix (TT for historic bikes)
20/21 August Island at War re enactment/gathering Jeeps and pre war cars etc
28 August Big transport festival Jurby
3 and 4 Sept MDRA Drag and Drift weekend round 2 (Manx Drag Racing Association- sponsored by my pension co amongst others!)
11 Sept Duke track day at Jurby 10.00- 15.00

Pick any of these dates and these events are available to anyone coming over!

It could be that some of you want to do some or one of these events in which case we will ensure that entries etc are forwarded. Of course there are standard moveable things like Race night in the Courthouse Pub- which we hcan put on again. A run around the TT course, visit/tea to Niarbyl- where they filmed Waking Ned. Intro to Manx Classic Car Club- runs on Sundays that I haven't mentioned.

You can see that we have a pretty full diary!

[1/2 Oct is the Ameirican day at Prescott Hillclimb near Cheltenham that we might enter again incidentally]
What have I forgotten Steve?

Oh yes the Min of Tourism is keen to attract cars enthusiasts see below for info on getting here/hotels and activities
