Rather than keep it in primer I thought I would do a cheap job of spraying it matt or satin black for the time being.... So down the garage this morning and all done and back home tonight..... The colour is NATO Matt Black as used for spraying tank camouflage and its £45 for 5 litres, so with half a tin left thats cost me about £30............ I'll post some better pics tomorrow.....

To be honest I'm the last 'fan' of people who spray things matt black but it seemed the easiest and cheapest way out of leaving the car in primer - I guess I could have used a couple of litres of any colour but the matt black actually looks a whole lot better than I anticipated, so I'm well pleased with it as a temporary finish for now.. Here's some more from today and one from the Krispy Kreme Bristol meet this afternoon...

That looks better than it did in primer, plus it'll stop the water/damp getting into the primer which as you know is porous.

What days/times is the meeting at the Krispy Kreme, do many cars turn up?? Might take a trip one day if I get time.

cheers...Nige

Second sunday from 2.30 onwards - this was the first time I remembered it was on. Thought it would be a good turnout for a hot sunny day but there was only about a dozen cars covering hot rods / rat rods, couple of Ford Pops, pair of 32 roadsters, me and a mustang, fifties truck and a 55 chevy gasser... bit disappointing really... needs promoting more probably...
