Its getting built with approx 11.1 compression and a big cam specs not finalised but I am aiming for around 850 hp. John Sleath (www.john-sleath.com) is building it so it is in good hands

engine almost complete now, and fingers crossed it will be on the dyno on Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing what type of power it will make. I will be happy with 800+ hp , I think my heads although ported might be the limiting factor.

The engine went on the dyno to break her in and we have found a problem. The heads cant flow enough to keep up with the engine. It made 680 hp at approx 5700 rpm and the same at 6500 rpm. The cam is specd to make max power at just over 7000 rpm. Tried it with 24 deg adv to 42 and still the same power.

Thats why heads are now for sale and I am decideding whether I should all out and buy some fully CNC ported heads.

My ported ali heads (complete) are for sale in the for sale section if anyone is interested :)

My old heads sold with in a day so there was no turning back

The decision has been made.... The only thing I was waiting for was the cost to sevice my TH400. Just had a call from John that all is ok and it just needs a basic service .

So fu*k it you only live once CNC ported heads here we come

After taking my car to John Sleath is October, and waiting for the Racing Heads Services CNC ported heads since November the decision has been made to cancel that order. We have now ordered son Air Flow Research CNC ported heads which will be here next week.

Then all that needs to be done is build the heads , put them engine and dyno again. Then refit the engine fit the wheelie bars and parchute and the car should be back with me ready for the start of the season.
