Sorry about this .. but I feel a little personal rant coming on !!!!
Don't know if you get it from the pictures ... but do you see why I don't want to sell this Firebird anonymously on eBay ... I REALLY want it to go to someone I know is going to do it properly ... a real enthusiast (as I was many years ago but have now lost it) who will love the beast that it is !!!! Only wish I could do a mind-meld to let people experience this motor in action ...
I have never been in a car with pick-up even close .... if you can imagine a 420hp Delta Integrale on full boost at 6000 revs and THEN you plant the throttle .. it's like that, all the time .. from any revs ... and it screams like a little 16V 4pot ... instant smile ... I just can't find it in me now to do this thing up properly, it's been off the road, just sat there for 7 years, so sad ... I want to do the Camaro up properly, or sell that and buy a 5th Gen and modify that; still in dispute with my own head over this .... IROC - much better looking and rare and old and gorgeous and personal ... or settle for newness and comfort and everyday drive-i-ness ... even though the misses thinks they're pig ugly !
I'm still so torn .... am I ever going to work out what to do ?
Rant over ...
Any personal experiences that you would like to release in my direction would be very, very gratefully received !

And then I see my post, and see the old Camaro looking so gorgeous, and it's a no-brainer really isn't it ?
Do the 3rd Gen properly .. whatever it takes !!!!!

That does look a beast! Awesome.

For me I would like to see the nice IROC stay pretty standard as there are fewer and fewer about. I would sell it and buy a 3rd gen already done up or a newer gen. Will be far cheaper.

If you're looking to sell the cars & upgrade to something else, then it'd have to be a 1st gen for me. They're extremely desireable, better than money in the bank & can still be driven on a daily basis if you wanted to. My old '69 was my daily/only transport for 4 years. To me, although the 5th gen is a nice car, it's still just a "new" car, without any character or quirkyness, plus it's gonna dive in value as soon as you buy it. No brainer for me I'm afraid, but then I am biased

cheers....Nige

Personally I think the 3rd Gen Camaro is a much prettier car than your Firebird, I'd be looking to swap the motor over - or at least the induction system
