Wow what a superb purchase. Like others I remember that Camaro way back in Mick Cookes days and the various shows it appeared in. Iconic car and great to see that its still around and looking fantastic. I've still got that magazine picture ripped out and saved in my files.... What did it look like after being left in a field.?

Not like it does now, it was sad, fillthy and pretty much as you would envisage and understanding that the paint and condition of the murals and body etc stood up are a tribute to Mick Cookes workmanshipso, its criminal that it was left like that, I was quite shocked when I heard the tale.. Anyway, shes safe now, ive all micks trophies, all the mags it features in and all the books. Its one piece uf UK history that is now completely back togather. Just got to blow it now then simply look after it, bit of rechroming etc etc,
Thanks for all the cool comments guys.

Did you decide on the style of valve covers after?? What was on the car originally?? The ones that Mickey showed you on R & S are modern covers, you really need '70's period pieces on there

cheers...Nige

I saw a pic of the C cab that now has the engine on a R nS thread yesterday & it looks like that has the early Cal Custom ones that I posted a link to. As it's the same engine, maybe that's what Mick put on it?

cheers...Nige
