I'd have thought you'd have had a go at making that system yourself  . Think it through, it's not difficult as you might think. You can buy mandrel bent bends & straight tube in the size you need. It's just a case of measuring, cutting & welding really

cheers...Nige

I was thinking that at first and the only thing putting me off is the whole bend over the axle part. Didn't realise you could get this done though. do you know anyplaces off the top of your head that can do this?

These guys look like they do a lot of good exhaust components:

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/mijexhaust

X pipes, Flexi pipes, flange size adapters and cut lengths. Don't appear to do any mendrel bent pipes to order though.

As a question, is there much of a difference welding stainless steel? Could you use a standard MIG welder for this?

p.s i am waiting on one part to come through the post, this should mean i can start the engine on the weekend. I will record it.. bear in mind it only has the manifold on, not even downpipes :) :) :)

Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

If only you'd managed to get to the swap meet in Essex on sunday, you'd have found people selling exhaust tubes/bends & x pipes there.

You can weld stainless with a MIG, but obviously you need to fit a spool of stainless wire  I think Halfrauds sell it on small rolls.

cheers...Nige

you can get something like a Zoom H1

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003 ... V0EF8ZN0FN

Probably more than you wana spend though at £75. I've got the Zoom H4 which is use for recording sound effects and that's been good enough for film use, but that's abut £230.

Maybe look into a digital dictaphone? make sure it's stereo though, you should be able to get one for about £25ish.

I'll post up a vid with the sound of the digicam mic vs. the Zoom H4 next weekend.

In the meantime, i just started my camaro after 13 months :)
