Cheers dude..I thought you would spot that! Well I've gone single again for a few reasons;

the right tip sits v slightly further out, and that troubles me as I know about it :geek: so need to make slight adjustment,

the car sounded a bit tame with right tailpipe in, believe it or not, but it sounds nicer with a slight increase in volume again :thumbup: ( still eyeing up getting cut out installed, just need to decide about a electric or manual etc)

I need to add some packing, or attach some kind of rubber bung to stop a rattle against the bodywork at certain revs; and

I quite like the single pipe look , not something you see that much on these cars...

I had a little go at changing rear lenses last weekend. I just wanted rid of the amber and get a more red overall look at the back..

I initially went with:

But withthe reverse lights on there was too much red from the reflector so I scrapped that and decided to lightly smoke the white, but it came out a little darker than I initially intended. This still allowed the white to show through for the reversing lights as seen in 2nd pic, however..

I then went to the front of the car and decided to read up about freshening my aged yellow and scratched headlamps.

I used the wet n dry 1500 then 2000 grit before using Meguiars Scratch X to remove the fine scratches and the polish out with turtle nanowax..

The difference between the treated and untreated headlamp is pretty noticeable...

Cheers geeza.. :-)

Yeah just used 1 thin coat of red to mask the orange a little (so as not to get in trouble with traff cops for being red), and the one or two coats of black/smoke for the reverse/white section of the cluster.

Once lacqeuered the whole light blends in and darkens up a touch.

With the indicator you can make sure its and orange amber glow by swapping in an orange bulb for the white one just to be sure.

The last job I have done is that whistler black headlamp housing mod in which i had to pull apart the lamp and spray the reflector in black satin paint (except rear reflector). The last 2 pics show the before and after; It's a pretty subtle look but I think it works nicely..
