Having received a couple of goodies in the week, I decided to start looking at making the usual mods to the car
to aid induction. I ordered an airbox lid and the intake smooth bellow for starters, planned to do the airbox mod to increase
air to the filter plus ram air effect.

I also planned to unleash some V8 roar by chopping out the std euro back box for a maudyz28 special  but by sheer luck stumbled across an unwanted, non adjustable stainless borla cat back system for a bargain so decided to get this fitted for now.

In preparation for the borla install, my old system was carefully chopped out, in case I needed to use any parts to make up the new system. My old system was chopped from the old y pipe backwards and as predicted the borla system, from an 02 T/A did not fit perfectly. I ran out out of time and therefore ran the car without a full exhaust..

Hmmm

Although the car vibrates a bit  Just loved the sound for a couple of days

All fitted now:

sounds pretty well actually, more tuned than the one I gave you would be, but not as loud overall. Does sound nice though, all depends on what you want. Tuned sort of sound or 'animal magic' :D

Well last weekend managed to tick off some more jobs namely oil change and fit front eibach springs, with many thanks to a fellow member Heinz5774

It's made an amazing difference now that front and rear spring rates are proportionally correct. The car feels much more balanced and flat during corners.

I plan to step up from a 40 profile to a 45 to give me just under .5 inch more sidewall to gain some compliance and improve ride quality. Failing this I think I will consider testing some 17s. In the meantime, I
like the stance and height now front to back. Excuse the 'driven look', I don't mind a bit of muck n grime ..
