Here's a pic of the slam panel in colour. I'm using "Audi Brillaint red" as seen on most of the new Audis as it's a pure red colour that seems to change hue in different light. I'll probably put the Z/28 stripes back on in black once it's all finished

Here's a pic of a painted door & the front lower valance. I painted all of the panels as they were repaired, so as not to allow dampness to get into the paint, which could occur if the panels were left sitting around in primer for any length of time, cheers...Nige

The o/s rear 1/4 panel was quite rusty so it was cut off to reveal a rusty inner arch. I cut out the rust from the inner arch & formed a new piece of metal to fit into it. The new 1/4 panel outer skin then trial fitted to check for alignment, cheers....Nige

Trial fitment of the new o/s 1/4 panel. At this point it was only screwed into place prior to final welding at a later stage. I wanted to be able to remove it to bare Metal & repair the inner arch & to have access to the trunk floor, which also required repairs.Cheers....Nige

The trunk floor was bare metalled, de-rusted & repaired prior to being primered.

The trunk floor was then primed & will ultimately be painted with grey speckle finish paint as per original spec, cheers....Nige

The outer roof skin had rusted so badly that you could virtually pass your hand between the inner & outer skins. The rust was cut out totally, new metal formed & tacked into place. Once happy that it all fitted correctly, it was continuously seam welded & finally lead loaded where nescessary prior it it being primed..
