Thought I'd post some pics of my Camaro build up for you to see. Here's a pic of the car as I bought it.The guy that I bought it off had stripped the car down totally, removing every last nut & bolt. He'd got as far as having the front crossmember & suspension shot blasted & painted & re fitted (loosely) & had refitted the rear axle & suspension. Everything else was just put into boxes inside the car after losing enthusiasm for the project. Let the work commence

The front fender was chemically stripped inside & out. There was some minor rust on the bottom which I cut out totally & fabricated a repair panel which was seam/hammer welded back in. I used lead then to metal finish the repair prior to a light skim of body filler just to get it spot on

Checking panel edge alignment during door & fender repairs. The welded panel had been lead loaded prior to the light skim of filler being added.

Normally this would be done on the car, but I didn't have the car in the workshop at this point. Cheers..Nige

Nice work. You've taken on something most of us would't contemplate.
Will you spray it yourself?

Here's a few pics of the front slam panel. It was very deeply rusted, but once back to bare metal I used a product by Bilt Hamber, that removes any traces of rust from metal prior to repairing & priming. cheers...Nige
