I'm about to stick some Monroe Senstracs in the IROC, with some Moog CC635 springs in the back.

I'm anticipating there being bushes that'll have to be replaced - given my latest experience of the garage waiting 4 fecking hours for 2 split pins(!) to arrive so they can get on with the brakes - I'd rather not get it to pieces and discover the bushes are shot.

Any tips on what I should be bushing the old girl's shocks/dampers with?

I would expect the dampers to come with bushes really, do you have them yet?

Did you get the springs in the UK? I'm trying to work out the cheapest way to get some springs for my IROC.

Hi Dave,

I did - the springs came from USAutomotive. They're eBay store's a little cheaper than their website, for what it's worth - only a pound or two, but every little helps.

Bushes for shocks should come with them. Springs have a upper rubber spacer but these very rarely wear so you should be ok with everything.

I'm wondering if the knocking I'm hearing from the rear is actually a missing rubber spacer, in that case. Off the ground, the spring that I suspect is making the noise falls free from the upper housing. Takes no effort to move it about, unlike the one on the drivers side.

Car would sit lower that side as its quite a thick spacer.

Well, the package from Jegs has arrived. Set of Hyper Flex bushes and a Prothane torque arm bush. All in the box next to the rear EBC disc and pads (fronts have gone on already so I'm not bedding in both sets at the same time), with the new rear bearings, the Moog springs are ready at the powder coat shop, and all I'm waiting for is the Monroe dampers.
