Good evening gentlemen.
Newbie here with first post-
Olly my son captured this whilst I was putting the old girl to bed one night......

Incidentally,it doesnt sound quite so meaty when not echoing back off the end wall of the garage!
Over the winter want to fit a magnaflow or similar-do the regulars on here have a fave system or are magnaflow about the best for a usable baritone burble?!
Cheers
Andrew

well the guys flew in from Sweden and spent most of the day recording the sounds of Butch with over 20 mics placed all over the car.

Sadly I am bound by an NDA ( Euros 500,000 fine!) that prevents me from revealing which media thing the sounds will be heard in eventually

I shall post up here what they send me once it is distilled into a useable chunk for the website

All good fun

I know he has changed a few bits on it so probably sounds more purposeful now!

Yeah, these guys build libraries of car sounds to sell on to people like me (sound designers). They do some amazing recording, can't wait till it's on their list. How nice it must be to get paid to rev your engine for two days :D

Dear Camaro Sound lovers
Well just in time for christmas Max has sent me some MP3 files of Butch in action

I think you will REALLY love this

I have just passed my racing driver's medical- the only way to drop the bood pressure is NOT to think of racing Butch!!
Hopefully I shall add these below-- can't seem to add them- Steve help?
I shall email you separately re these

At last here they are!

The final sounds made by the Swedish sound team- to be used in something fairly special soon.

Enjoy
They used 12 microphones all over the car

Very nice.... That sounds a little like mine with the valve open... particularly the lift off noise.

Are there no problems with noise levels at some circuits ?

Yes we have had lots of problems at UK circuits- esp Castle Combe

That is why I don't go there very often! No noise limits in South Africa

Mind you Bugatti OC at Prescott were quite happy in October when we were there!

Reading is about 120 dbls- I used to say that OK this is an old Yank v8 so 3/4 rpm is 4250 and 103 dbls
But of course this thing revs to well over 7000 rpm! Then I get pulled on the circuit!

It is strange that you can have a louder street car than a race car!
