Yes that is Rockingham, i was lucky enough that my sister knew the people that ran the track and they allowed me out on track for the photo shoot.
They insisted that i only went 40mph maximum due to no safety crew- of course i kept to the limit  :!:

Great track - it would be nice to drive the car in anger up there some day.
Is that a T56 six speed fitted to your car ? as i could do with some info about the swap as i am gathering up parts at the moment for mine.

Thanks Si

Hi Si,

I was at Billing on saturday for a few hours, seemed a bit quite and some I was gonna meet didn't make it in the end so left about 3pm.

The Camaro looked great, you were parked a couple of rows behind me, I kept popping back every little while to see if I could catch you..

Stu

hehe, that sounds cool, and the whole track to yourself as well, I would have stuck to 140mph :P

T56 not in yet, car is still being built (been a long time, much to my annoyance). Good places to look for stuff are here:

http://www.t56kit.com/

http://www.hurst-drivelines.com/?gclid= ... 2Aodnylu4w

http://www.keislerauto.com/

hope that helps :) I'm looking to get a complete conversion kit from hurst-drivelines (used to be classicchevy5speed).

Cheers,
Mark

Hi Simon, still got the old girl eh? (i sold you a torque converter about 6 or 7 years ago)
I remember you :D
Yes managed to rip all the welds out of the centre of that converter.
Must get a smaller right foot!
Just gathering parts for a T56 conversion at the moment so hopefully won't have that problem any more.
What are you driving now?

Cheers Si
Hi Simon, now running a tube framed '68 camaro.....(still matt black with yellow and green flames though !)

Thanks for the links..
I have visited most of these now
I was kind of hoping somebody had actually done this swap as it's only when you get in to the jobs you get the unexpected problems..
I have emailed classic 5 speed on several occasions and have had no response so i had got a bit fed up with them.
Do they not want our money $$$ vs ££££

Is yours the earlier box with the external hydralics as i am looking for a part for mine (have a look in the wanted section) and might need to get some measurements for a machine shop...

Thanks
Si
