looking pretty near completion, should be pretty mental :clap: near to starting it up yet.. ?

Hi, the engine was a stock GM blocked 355 SBC. Initially it had AFR 195 heads. Later AFR 195 comps with larger 2.08 valves and more CNC porting. I could definitely feel the difference. The Procharger was an F1C which has 1225hp capability. I had the 3.55 pulley so I guess give or take 1000hp at the crank.....great fun!!!

As far as the music goes, the more obscure the less chance of Youtube bitching about copyright. LOL!

I removed that engine whilst it was still good and will sell it complete with the killer 575hp AFR heads. I now have a Dart 406 SBC Little M with AFR 235 heads. Should be good for 750hp N/A and 1500 - 2000hp with a pair of F1C Prochargers....

Glad you posted on this forum, letting everyone know about the twin F1C's :D where did you source the Little M 406 from, or did you build it yourself?

Yes I built it myself, not easy for me but possible with books and forums...I had my lap top stolen and youtube vids deleted. But I'll start again with a little more power!!!!LOL!!!

Sorry guys. Still here.....It took me three attempts to login as I'm virtually colour blind. But site security is always a good thing....

Most recently I got the car on the road. There was no boost even at 4000rpm. But even more concerning was the A/F ratio. I suspected that if I was to be comfortable over 1100 - 1200 hp I would need a dual needle seat blow through carb. I ordered a 4150 from The Carb Shop California, very similar to my existing one but bigger bowls and a HP950cfm body.

I'm sure most of you know they are amongst the first to specialise in converting carbs for blowthrough operation and I wanted to make this my last carburettor purchase. I did consider EFI but this is an old car and the carb has a nostalgic magic to it...

The quality of the shafts, powder coating and bowls is outstanding.

The old Carb shop carb will go to a new blown application somewhere in the world via the classified boards....PM me if you are interested. It has less than 1000 miles on it andmost of that was with a single Procharger F1C

After the carb was adjusted (float and idle mixture) I was confident enough to bury the throttle. But I was disappointed. The A/F levels were fine at mid 11's to low 12's but I only saw 1lbs of boost at 4000rpm.

This was with 1:1 gear ratio. Over the next few months I changed to 1.45:1, 1.75:1 and finally 2.05:1 gear ratios effectively spinning the blowers harder.

However it was all necessary because I couldn't predict the boost level and didn't know if I would encounter compressor surge.....

I now have over 6 lbs at 3500rpm. I can rev to 7500 with the current ration and not over spin the blowers. I feels like a turbo or big block with plenty of power down low. I have not been able to test between 5000 and 7500rpm yet due to traction and space issues.

Here's a burnout test video at 4000rpm with the 1.45:1 gear ratio seeing around 1.5lbs - 2lbs of boost...

Just to let you know. Whilst I have no dyno numbers. I'm sure it's making good power at low boost. With no agressive conering the launches and burnouts ripped my anti roll bar from the frame. Possibly due to chassis twist. It's fixed now but my TH350 is dying. LOL!!!!

I have also changed over to Global West solid aluminium body bushings with a 1/2" drop. Hotchkis leaf springs and subframe connectors and a set of Caltracs.

Combined with Hotchkis Max handle Bars and a Customworks 2G bar I'm confident it's stiff enough for a street car....

Once I've finished under the skin mechanics, if I still have enough enthusiasm I'll tear it all apart and treat her to a full body restoration.

Only then I'll be able to categorise her "Pro-Touring meets Outlaw Drag radial" LOL!!!!!!

This car looks as good as anything from the US- fantastic!

Major difference being that tiny garage opening clearly built for a small Euro hatch- must give you some moments getting in and out!

The global west stuff and Hotchkiss suspension will tighten it all up no end!
