She's back - steering sorted. Had to hold the steering at about 15° to the right to keep some tension in the system. Glad to arrive safely at the garage, to be honest.
Also had her de-catted and she's sounding glorious. :D

So, just need to get shot of the RS in order to free up some funds to address the other bits and pieces. :)

I seem to have missed a big part of your recent history, as you had an RS. I see you are now selling the RS and have an IROC? Discuss :)

Next on the list...

Respray perhaps - got some matte black door decals coming, should look nice with the glossy black.
There'll be a bit of body work to do with that one - passenger front wing probably should be replaced. Someone's previously 'mended' it by using a big glob of bondo on the rear of it, that's now failed. So maybe two new front wings, as there's a small hole in the front corner next to the bonnet on the driver side too. Maybe cheaper/easier to spray and fit new wings than repair the old?
New rear wheel bearing.
Pads n discs - EBC perhaps?
Stainless brake hoses perhaps.
Still a bit of a grind when she's on full right lock.
Smell of petrol in the car when she first turns over in the morning.
Possibly a stainless exhaust.

All of which is why the RS needs to go to fund that!

Yup, the RS is a lovely drive. Really. In some ways she handles more nicely than the IROC. Certainly I can just spin her round and up my driveway, whereas the IROC's a stop, manoeuvre, stop, up the drive.
But, as usual, after a couple of months of driving her, I wanted more. Sound familiar?
So checking the account, I could afford to buy another one...
Looked at a red 'vertible and the IROC. The 'vert had too many little things to sort out - horn had been relocated to the dash, some slight wear on the hood that I'd want to fix. The rear speakers had been moved and shuffled about so the rear was full of holes and needed a new carpet. And the speedo under-read, which isn't what I need with 6pts on my licence!
Then looked at the IROC on the same day. Looked good, great history file. Nicely finished, great retrim, good seals, just a nice 'tight' car.
Deal was done, and she came home.

However, I know that if I'm going to sink money into a car, then the IROC (a former Classic American feature car) makes more sense in the long run than the RS.

So, now I need to shift the RS so I can get on with the IROC and maybe go on holiday!

Cheers for the update, sounds cool and familiar :)

So I'm guessing she is black with Gold decals? If it is the CA featured car? Seems to have moved about a lot but seems a great car. We demand pictures! Custom tan interior?

She's lost the gold decal, and been given silver ones. The rocker and rear badges are the yellow/red combo, which I guess is original.
You can still see one of the gold decals on the passenger door under the paint, in fact.
And yes, with the custom tan interior. :)

And one reason she's needing a respray and probably a load of filler digging out...

Also need to replace the cracked driver's side rear light cluster at some point. My guess is she's been nudged from the rear or someone's backed her into something...
