Hi Nige
Yes i have a 1979 Z28 in metallic green.
This car has been heavily modified to pro touring specs.
Built 355cu in motor (by Peter Knight racing)
Baer brakes front & Rear
8 1/2 by 18 inch front rims and 8 1/2 by 20 inch rear rims.
Cowl induction hood.
Roll cage etc etc

Car has had full features in American car world and street machine.
And numerous appearances in street machine for the uk street racer championship and various mods that have been done to the car.

New to all this forum business so what is the best way for me to post images of the car.
I tried to add some the other night but did not have any joy.

Thanks

Simon

Hi glad to here there is someone else from this area.
Have you got any pictures of your car?
Hows the rebuild going.
Would you be interested in a SSBC rear disc brake conversion set up as i will be posting this soon on the parts for sale once i can find my camera.
This came of my 79 Z28 due to the upgrade to Baer brakes.
I've managed to add some images now of mine to the 2nd generation section.
Lets hope we can get some more people to own up to being from the wonderfull midlands.
Si

Hi Felix
Great to hear from you.
Thanks for the comments on my car.
There are a few small local events round here that i always try to get to if you are interested.

Second Tuesday in the month there is a meeting at Ashby Folville - you will need to be there early before 5pm really as it is very popular and is outgrowing the site.
Usually around 100+ cars and the same amount of bikes.
There is a large mix of cars from vintage to modern - American and hot rods - Classic Fords and lots of motorbikes of all years.
I don't always make it to this one as i end up working late but this is definately one to look out for.

Second Wednesday of the month there is a local car club meet at the dog and gun pub in Kilby.
This is a small event with a wide variety of cars - they are a friendly bunch that always welcome new people along.
Always try to get to this one.

The next main event i will be off to is The Hot Rod Drags at Avon Park September 18th and 19th.

There appears to be a few more of us joining in this area - maybe if we get a few more we could start up a meet.
Let me have your thoughts.

Have you posted any images of your car?

Cheers Si
