glad it passed and only turned out to be the air cleaner, strange how it changed the emissions and fueling though, unless its a sensor thing as Mickp says

Car Details:Hi Guy's, she's a 91 met grey 3rd gen with a 305 V8 and T tops, and a genuine 26,000km, no rust, landed from japan in 2005, 3 uk owners and I love to bits.....
Hi Mickp, I did that  , I drilled the hole in the new base as there is a press mark in the steel for the sensor, made sure that it was getting filtered air and simply plugged it back in, so the set up as identical to the original one on the car really strange.... Iam going to leave things alone and just drive it, but anyway thanks for everybodys advise and help you have all given me on my miner problems I have had  . Cheers Jason.

Thanks for updating us, this has got me worried now! The guy sounds like a jobsworth to me. Don't take it back there again!

Anyone know any American Car friendly MOT stations in Rugby/Cov/Warks/ Leicester way?
So would you risk your job for a strangers chrome airfilter, downgrade, especially if you had a mortgage, wife and kids? I suspect not ! The tester did the guy a favour! The emmission failure implied overfueling which would have been costing him in mpg,and probably bhp,so he sorted it +he suggested the cops may hassle him over the noise we may like, others do not! Please dont take offence at my comments. Just put yourself in his situation! regards Rockinfox Opinionated ode newby with 88 Iroc z
