Hi Sammy, this is a common problem on Second Gens with A/C and headers. I had 1 5/8 headers which just kissed the A/C box. I pulled them off to replade with 1 7/8 headers. These are the biggest off the shelf SBC Camaro headers you can get. Guess what I couldn't get them in. Ended up removing the matrix and half the A/C casing.
I was not using A/C on the car (T-tops) so I will be buying an A/C delete panel to go over the hole in the firewall once its fully removed.
Hooker Super competition ceramic coated headers sound and look great!!!!! but I had to jack the car up real high and remove the starter motor to get them in. I just hope when the Dart stroker goes in I don't have stroker pan clearance issues!!! _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nP2Y2UOxUAY
