Cheers.....Nige

Not really a sound off, but here's my old IROC-Z 5.0 starting up.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1ZBRLnT7HE

It had a Flowmaster cat-back system and I think I made myself unpopular with the neighbouring flats after a couple of early morning runs to France!

Some great sounding cars here.....

Not the best sound recording of mine, but trying to see what the difference the electric cut-outs make after fitting with the new stainless system.
I think it overwhelmed the little camera mic as it gets 2 - 3 times louder with the exhaust opened up...

Well this story really has got legs- it sounds as if we are not the only ones interested in Chevy small block engine noises! Please see below the email I received recently:

"My name is Max Lachmann and I record vehicle sounds for movies and computer games. My companies, Pole Position Production (http://www.pole.se) and motor-tones.com, has recorded over a hundred vehicles, everything from jet fighters and tanks to extreme race cars such as the European GT-series. You can read more about us on our websites, or watch this short movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIWSmOEjjfo

At the moment I am trying to find a race version of a Chevrolet 350 small block engine and came across your beautiful Camaro. What engine is in it? Is there any chance that you could help us with this, or that you know of owners of one that could be interested? In return we can offer sound samples for websites, cell phones and the pride of having your car in computer game.

Please get back to me and I will be happy to explain our method or any other questions you might have. It would be really appreciated if you could help us out!

Yours sincerely,
Max Lachmann

Anyway guys he is flying over from Denmark to spend 2 1/2 days recording Butch in action (as well as a BB Ford 460 in a friend's Willys) on 28-30 June.

Will report later on what happens!

Well worth downloading the Mobile phone ring tones on his website- you can listen to them for free. I wonder whether Butch will sound better than the ZO6 Corvette Racing car? You need to listen and tell us after they have posted the sounds on their website- hopefully ready in July!!
