Car Details:1990 Z28 Convertible, Red with red leather, 305 TPI
I'm very pleased with my new car but there is a slight problem that the boot latches but doesn't "suck" down like they're supposed to. From recollection this isn't uncommon on these.

The previous owner told me he thought the fuse had gone or it was frozen. He had operated it in the snow which he says was when the problem started.

Does this seem plausible? What are the usual causes for this issue?

Normally just needs a service, could just be the relay or switch
