Well, I go by Ben however it is spelled BENE. I'm in the military and I got orders to move here for 4 years. My car is your typical LS1 Z28 w/ bolt-ons, and mild appearance mods. The Z used to be an automatic car w/ a Yank converter however I switched to manual as I missed rowing gears. The car went 12.2 @ 110 MPH when it was an automatic, minus the tune and a pulley. It should go alot faster now that I tuned it and it's a M6.

Mods as follows:
FRA, MTI clear lid, ported/polished tb~bump stop mod, ported MAF, LS6 intake (painted), 28.8lb injectors, Powerbond pulley, SW SS longtube headers, off road (no cats) Bassani true duals, and lastly for the power mods, HPTuners tuned.

For suspension mods:
LS7 clutch kit, remote hydraulic bleed, Hurst billet shifter w/ LSS and Hurst ball, Brembo rotor blanks, Hawk pads, ATE brake fluid, SS braided brake lines, UMI adj LCAs w/ relo brackets, adj panhard bar, BMR strut bar, Strano swaybars 35/22, Koni single adjustble shocks on lower perch on the front and hose mod at the back.

Appearance mods:
SLP grille, Halo projector lights, HID kit, euro corner lights, repo chrome C5Z06 18" wheels 9.5" fronts/10.5" rears~53 mm offset, black retro panel, and tinted windows, shorten antenna, LED lights on stock monsoon HU and hard wired Ipod interface.

So in a nutshell, just bolt ons w/ a tune that runs 12.2 @ 110 or better.

I'm in Bury almost every weekend and no I haven't heard the Iceni american run although it sounds pretty cool.

Here are the pictures.

Lovely looking car and love the modifications. I should see you around bury. Mines the same shape a 98 green Z28 convertable and is used daily.

The Iceni club is based in Brandon at

http://www.icenicarclub.uwclub.net/

and they meet at the Ram Pub in Brandon. The Xmas run is fun. I have only joined in once with my 50 anniversary corvette I used to own, which was the newest car there and the battery went flat which had them all laughing when I needed a jump start. They tend more towards hot rods. They love doing the trip to Wells even in snow as it adds to the fun... They seem friendly bunch and believe they also meet up on Sundays at the pub.

Very nice car mate :)

It explains it if it was a stalled auto, mines got stock converter still, and on poo ls1 intake , 26 lb injectors, stock headers and Y pipe. Looks like the stall is going on my list. Im wanting high 11s with cam in and the full exhaust, intake, tune, stall etc..

What stall was it, do you know (2600 or something??) how does it drive at low rpms? I dont want mine to be 'slack'. Also Im sure i've see pics of the car before (i may be mistaken though!), where are you originally from if you dont mind me asking??

You need to get it to santa pod and run the 1/4, see how the manual changes it, last time i was there I was getting better times than a Corvette C5 manual with filter/exhaust, he ran 13.5s, i was running 13.2-13.3s.
However a manual can be harder to get off the line.

You can go to low to mid 11 w/ a mild size cam, full bolt ons, stall and a tune. Trust me I know, my friend back home have done it many times with his firehawk.

Aftermarket stall is a must for automatics even w/ just bolt-ons however I would go bigger than 3K. My old one was a Yank 3500 w/ STR 2.5. It drove like a stock w/ a tune. IMO, you gotta do a tune for a stall to eliminate that sluggish feel during stop and go driving. But even w/o the tune it still ran fine.

It ran like a RAPED ape just like when you downshift a manual.

Well my last base was in Arkansas, and I lived there for almost 7 yrs. I'm originally from Texas though.

I have alot of old pics and vids of my car when I was in the states. I'll d/l them in a little bit.

I'd like to run the car in the 1/4 again to see how much the mods improved my car although I'm not sure it'll show any improvement w/ street tires.
