Car Details:1993 Camaro Z28 6 Speed Manual Hard Top Coupe
Hi everyone, my name's Rich from the Wirral. I've just bought my first Camaro. My first American car infact! Its a 1993 4th Generation Z28 6 Speed Manual hard top coupe. I had been casually looking for one for a while but never found one that I liked. I specifically wanted a Z28 manual, other than that I wasnt really bothered.

It is a Canadian car imported in 94. Has been in Dover most of its life and all the previous owners knew eachother as far as I know. Its covered 78,000 miles and drives really well. Its immaculate and has been garaged most of its life. I love the colour too. Totally standard car apart from a full Flowmaster exhaust system and has also been de-cat'd so sounds awesome. I'm absolutely made up with the car :D

Before the Camaro I had a 1989 Mercedes 560 SEC which was very nice but very un involving to drive. I've previously had a 300ZX twin turbo manual, a Datsun 240Z, a CL500, an XJ8, a capri, a 200sx, a 635 CSi Highline and many other wierd and wonderful cars. The Z28 puts the biggest smile on my face of the lot of them (apart from maybe the 240Z).

Here are some pictures of it, let me know what you think.

This is the day i bought it in Dover

Here it is after a good few hours polishing, looks a totally different car now

My future plans are just simple bits. I want to paint the small shapes at the side of the headlights black as they have been colour coded at some point. Might get the Mirrors and door handles colour coded as I have seen a few like that and I think it looks good. Would also like to upgrade the brakes, nothing major just something less prone to fade.

Hi Rich, welcome to the forum, nice looking car you've got there. You seem to have had some nice motors over the years, how does this one compare to them?? I know you say it puts the biggest smile on your face but what is it that makes that happen?? feel free to join in on the forum, cheers....nige

The main thing I like is the noise and simplicity of the car. Its just very straight forward, slightly old fashioned and lots of fun.

I look forward to next summer when I can take it to a few shows and meets.

Great looking car with great photo's. Once you do the american thing I don't think you ever go back.

I think you are right, the sound is the most important thing that puts a smile on your face and then the presence that they have.

Welcome.
