Hi everyone.

In case you aren't aware, I am the new admin for this site. Today I've gone in to renew the domain for another year, but have found this isn't possible straight away as the contract it's on has been marked as cancelled. This means I can't renew it until it has expired and gone past it's cooling off period and becomes available for a new owner to take it on.

The domain and current hosting will expire at the end of this week - 9th Jan 2020

I've already started the process of moving the files to a new host - this can be accessed using the URL - http://classiccamaroclub.mfatw.com
Tomorrow I will shut the current forum down and finish the migration to the new server. The current domain will be setup to automatically forward to that one, for as long as it remains able to do so. I don't know if that will be beyond the 9th or not.

Not the smooth start I was hoping for, but we'll get there one way or another.

Kind Regards,

Jamie

Yes, that's the intention. Not sure how long it will be before I can repurchase the domain, but I'll get it done as soon as it's available.

The site has now been transferred to and is running on the new server.
Domain forwarding is in place, we'll have to see how long it lasts.

I never saw the new website address, and when i did search for it found nothing. Happened to bump into bnc47 (Barry) today who mentioned it was up and running.

I was not aware of this at all!

Will drum up some more interest from the Facebook groups

Hi. I applied to join the Camaro owners UK Facebook group a day or so ago. But no response. Been here a while but it's pretty quiet, like a post ayear! Trying to find an (active!) group in the UK for 4th gen owners just to swap knowledge, woes , events etc. Had mine for 5 years and still excited, how can I be the only one!

Tom

Not sure who is running the FB group, there are a few of them.

This site used to be much busier before we lost the hosting on the original address, I don't think a lot of people realise it is back up, or what the new address is!
