The vin number (chassis number) should be on a small plate set under the dash cap but visible through the front screen on the driver side.( there's a recess in the dash top to be able to see it) There should also be a plate on the drivers side of the bulkhead in the engine bay, hth, cheers....Nige
ps don't forget to post up some pics & info when you can ;)

The quickest I got in the end was a 11.00. Was a bit gutted I could manage a 10 second run but Im sure it will come with a bit more seat time. I am planning a few mods over the winter so I am looking forward to next season already.

wanted to chat to you a bit more but think you already lost your place in the queue!

shame you didn't get into the tens - still, its a fantastic car - would be great if it was road legal too!

what kind of bhp is it running?

oh and also, would you mind telling me what you paid for it - can pm me if you wish as i'm thinking about getting involved in drag racing.

you prob won't remember me but we spoke very briefly - i mentioned i had a '70 camaro but mines more show than go!

cheers
lloyd

Lloyd I remember you, I wanted to speak more also as I am trying to find out as much as I can about early Camaros but as you said I was already holding the cars behind me up.

The car as run a 10.01@135 , this was done at the pod 2 years ago. York is an ok track but it doesnt have the grip of Santa pod but I am hoping for a mid 10 next year ( at York)

I have put these times into a calculator I found on the net along with the cars weight and it cam back with a BHP figure of 730. Its is a high compression motor ( 468 BBC) and runs on 110+ octane race fuel.

If you are looking to get into drag racing York is a good place to find out out lots of info as it runs american super stock. This is the biggest class in the UK for old school yank tanks.

To get a car of similar spec to mine ( big block 9" rear end ect ect) you will be looking at around 10k
