I always used to think anti-freeze was anti-freeze. Then I found out about some pink version (I think good for aluminium engines/radiators - but still not sure).

I recently had to get some for my Seat Alhambra and couldn't believe how many variants there now are and have no idea what the differences are. Halfords had a guide that told you which one you need for which vehicle, but un-surprisingly it doesn't cover US vehicles. I guess there may be something state side that would give you the info.

Just ask the local Vauxhall dealer what they specify for the Monaro...same engine.
