Excuse all my stupid questions.
I noticed my Fender Camaro badge was hanging off. I'm surprised it had not fallen off to be honest.

Anyone got any idea how these should be held in place on the Fenders of a 69 model?

Brake problems, axle problems are all tolerable but losing a badge is just not acceptable at all.

:-)

Thank you.

A hanging off badge is worse than a Shakespearean tragedy! Try stay safe when working around it!
I think they are held on by a nut... cant remember the name but want to say wingnut, even though its not that. They use them on the indicators lights too. But could be wrong... it's my best guess!

Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

I've no real experience with 1st gens, so I'm guessing here.

I'd say it was either glued on, or has studs that go through the panel and are fixed on with 'speed nuts', which look a bit like domed star washers. If it's plastic it's possible one of the studs has snapped.

I just looked at my removed fenders, they are installed with speed nuts but not going to be the easiest to get access on the car, you will likely have to loosen the fender in one area.
