Check the sold prices on ebay, people are currently asking about 4k but in all honestly I can't see them getting anywhere near that, the last v6 pre face-lift one that sold on ebay went for £1000

Nearly all the 4th gens I've seen for sale lately (in mags, on websites etc. as opposed to ebay,) have been V6s, and they have been around £3k.
Not seen many V8s, I'm hoping that they are holding their value better.

And there lies the issue, the advertised price is usually far away from the actual sale price, if you watch ebay people seem to match the price of their item closely to the highest advertised price at that time, if someone puts an old xjs on their for 6k suddenly all the people who had theirs at 3k pull their ads and relist them at 5-5.5k. It's an odd phenomenon, people can ask what they want but what they get is a different story all together as the "sold" prices usually show

There's plenty about for under 6k, I looked at a few last month and nearly got one, yes they need work at that price but there's plenty out there if you look in the right places, could have had one for £2500, v12, 96,000 miles, rebuilt engine, resprayed, neededquite a bit of welding underneath but had 12months mot on it

I've seen them cheaper than that, swap the Blower pulley and belt over, chip it, decimate supercars all day long:-)
