Eyup, from Derby! Managed to get hold of a really nice 96 Z28 in bright red, low miles and loads of grunt. Have had Mustangs recently, but to be honest theyre not a patch on the Camaro. My car had 18 inch wheels with 245/45s on the back and it looked a bit undertyred, and so Ive done my homework and just bolted on a pair of 9 1/2 in Bmw wheels, shod with 275/35s, and its worked perfectly, the arches are nicely filled and it looks soooo much better from the back--am well chuffed.

I eventually sold the red Z28, and came across a white 96 SS Z28 earlier this year. I bought it with head gaskets needing to be changed and have just finished doing this. Bit of a task as we took the engine out of the top, if anybody wants any tips to doing this job give us a shout!

I read somewhere on this forum that someone was selling a Gen 4 SS, and that he said it was the only one in the country. Im not sure how rare they are, but I would imagine there is more than just the odd one?? Mine is a white auto with standard wheels and really straight, I love it and hopefully will be able to afford to keep it..

Lets hope you can keep it too! So have you taken it out since finishing the head gaskets?

No idea on the number of them I'm afraid!
