Hi guys,

Firstly thanks a lot for answering my questions on my last topic, i've pretty much got my heart set on a 4th gen and hoping to get one early 2019 (currently about to move house and get married next year so probably best to wait a while!)

My question is, would you advise waiting for the right one to come for sale thats already registered here in the UK, or look at importing?

I know for the 4th gens there's a euro spec model that i'm assuming is a bit easier/cheaper to register over here than an american import, however if I went down the route of purchasing one that was already registered here would there be anything additional i'd have to do when buying it?

I'm just interested to see what you guys did when buying your Camaros, as well as what you think the best thing for me to do in a year or so time when I'm ready to buy.

Thanks again - Dan :chevy:

I purchased a euro spec that was registered from new in the UK in '99 and it was as simple as changing details on the V5 and ensuring it came with 12 month MOT. Only thing is the clocks are in KM's not miles. Not a big issue as I just run a sat nav to keep an eye on the speed :)

As for waiting for the right one, that's a personal choice, as it depends on what you are after, and how long you want to wait. There's normally a fair few V6's advertised regularly, along with a few V8's

I looked at importing, but also kept my eye on the UK market at the same time, and found what I was after up the road ( well 50 miles) from me in the end, even though I actually went to look at a Mustang

Thanks a lot Andrew! I actually didn't take into account the KMs instead of MPH but now that I think of it I probably shouldve realised that

I think based on what you've just filled me in on a euro spec one is probably the bets way for me to go, that way i'll do similar to what you've done and either fit a sat nav or a wireless speedometer to gauge my speed!

Thanks for all the info man, think you definitely made the right choice to go Camaro over Mustang also :D
