anyone got a line on where I can get a headlight for my 4th gen cheap? is it a part used om other vehicles I can swap maybe? thought I would ask before I go down the rockauto route

From memory the the sealed units are a pain to get in in UK spec so the dip the correct way. I used Usautomotive years ago and they where a fortune then!

didn't even think about the uk spec and ordered from rockauto, I'm assuming the ones on it are still the yank ones(probably wrongly) so hope there is plenty of adjustment ! I guess ill find out when its mot time in a few weeks, mind you if yours is a 99 isn't that the facelift with the round headlights? mine has the useless little square ones

Yup, the '99's have the peanut shaped lights and it is nigh on impossible to get Uk spec, I've had to go back to US spec but they seem to have plenty of adjustment left in them for MOT.

The earlier square units, can be replaced with a Uk spec unit if I remember correctly, I think this guy could help you out http://www.americanautocentre.co.uk

I had a '97 LT1 before the LS1 I have now. Hopefully you'll have enough adjustment!!!

I just swapped them over, didn't check and adjustment and it passed the mot yesterday with flying colours
