Cheers Gents, will get some before the weekend and fit.

The Beast is home now, nice cruise home from Chichester, turned lots of heads and asked loads of questions, even sitting in traffic. Will have to get used to it as my 1 Series BMW never drew a any attention!

Went out Sunday for a drive and she wouldn't idle and kept cutting out and not restarting. Of course the auto choke on the Holley's hadn't worked from start-up and ended up flooding it. Asked the previous owner via text and should have been 'more aggressive' with the initial two pumps if the accelerator! Just getting to used to 'old technology'...

I don't use the choke at all, I just pump the gas pedal while cranking it over till it starts. Works fine for me and doesn't stall once idling. Still have the original Rochester Quadrajet in mine though!

could be a number of things, relatively easy to increase idle speed with one screw on the carb...
A couple of pumps on the accelerator when starting seems to usually work...

I have a guy in Chesham who does all my work, nice guy who owns a few Camaro and races one regularly, let me know if you need his number because there isn't anything he doesn't know about all and anything chevy including the transmission and axle

Thanks Twistedsanity, I'll let you know how I get on Saturday and thanks for the offer of a good known garage.

I'm going out over the weekend to get used to driving her. Had a look at the Holley website and might check a few connections before driving. When I picked her up last weekend I had no trouble at all, think it was down to my lack of knowledge.

Anyway 5,700cc's of pure pleasure to look forward to. Wife coming out with me so no talking for a while!!

Also brought the rear view mirror glue so one little job to do and obviously clean her!
